Press commentary: The IT Cluster of Upper Franconia elected new board members

In January the IT Cluster of Upper Franconia held its annual general meeting. Setting the course for the future and new elections were on top of the agenda. Hans Ulrich Gruber was unanimously elected as the new chairman.

The Upper Franconian IT Cluster is going into 2019 with promising ideas and newly elected chairman. “We want to continue our efforts to position the IT Cluster as the central contact point for IT topics in our region and to promote regional networking”, says the new chairman Hans Ulrich Gruber from Kulmbach. The other board member Thomas Feike adds, “we are especially reaching out to local universities in in Hof, Bayreuth, Coburg and Bamberg, all digital start-up centres, chambers of commerce, chambers of crafts and other associations that engage with digital topics.”

“This year we are going to organise a workshop with top speakers for our members, in addition to the already renowned events such as the IT-entrepreneur event at Schloss Thurnau, the Alumni-price for Bachelor and Master’s theses of local universities or the IT-forum Upper Franconia, which will take place at the University of Applied Science in Coburg“, says Mario Mages.
